CR2
Canon RAW Version 2
What is CR2?
CR2 is Canon's proprietary RAW image format used by Canon digital cameras. It stores the raw, unprocessed sensor data captured by the camera, preserving the maximum amount of image information for post-processing. CR2 files contain the full bit depth of the sensor, white balance data, and camera metadata, enabling photographers to make extensive adjustments in post without quality degradation.
